 Newcomers Welcome! A Guided Tour of Culture and Art in celebration of Matariki

Join us for a special 1.5-hour guided tour created especially for newcomers to Aotearoa! Discover the rich layers of local history, art, and culture in a warm and welcoming setting.

 We'll start with a 45-minute walk through the fascinating story of Lake House Arts — from its days as a seaside boarding house to its vibrant role as a community arts hub on the North Shore.

 In the second half, meet our resident toi whakairo (Māori carver) Natanahira Pona, who will guide you through his solo exhibition E Tipu E Rea and share powerful insights into the meaning and traditions of Matariki.
